This notice explains how LJL Investments Ltd, trading as Rockingham Homes, collects and uses your personal data when you contact us through this website. We are the "data controller" for that information.

What we collect

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you provide:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your phone number (if you choose to give it);
• the type of enquiry and the message you send us.

Providing these details is voluntary, but we need them to be able to reply to you. Like most websites, our hosting provider also automatically records standard technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use the details you send only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to take steps towards a possible tenancy. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests (and, where you are asking about renting a specific home, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract). We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell your data, and we do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: our website is hosted by Vercel, and contact-form emails are delivered by Resend. They only process your data to provide these services to us. We may also share information where we are required to by law.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers (such as Vercel and Resend) may store or process data on servers outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as UK "adequacy" regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising.

Analytics

We use Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics and performance monitoring (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to count page views, see which pages are popular, and keep the site fast. These are cookieless — they don't use cookies, don't track you across other websites, and don't identify individual visitors.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any tenancy discussion that follows, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to delete your data;
• ask us to restrict how we use it;
• object to our use of it;
• ask us to transfer it to another provider, where that right applies.

How to complain

If you think we have mishandled your personal data, you have the right to complain to us directly. Please email enquiries@rockinghamhomes.uk with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay, and keep you informed of the outcome.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk — though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
